In 2023, we have intensified our work towards reducing our own and our customers’ CO2 emissions, resulting in initiatives with partners like MAN Energy Solutions, Alfa Laval and Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle.
Also, developing the Transportation Action Guide on how companies can reduce their emissions from transportation, together with IKEA, Scania, and the Exceptional Roadmap Initiative, is a great achievement in this journey. We presented this work at COP28 in Dubai.
Given the complex nature of the decarbonisation challenge, collaboration across industries and supply chains is essential to making progress. To that end, we invite our customers, suppliers and industry partners to join us, which will be our focus in 2024.
‘It is a challenging task within the transportation sector and a long process with step-by-step improvements. However, we must all act responsibly across all modes of transport to tackle this challenge and find solutions together. The window for meaningful change is closing; now is the time to drive collective courage for a low-carbon future,’ says Martin Andersen, Global Head of Sustainability & ESG in Scan Global Logistics.
