Copenhagen 23 May 2023: In February, Scan Global Logistics (SGL) announced CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII (CVC) as its new majority shareholder. The transaction has now closed, receiving all relevant regulatory approvals from authorities. As part of this, SGL is pleased to announce the appointment of Nils Smedegaard Andersen, former CEO of Carlsberg and A.P. Moller - Maersk, as the first new board member and Chairman of the Board. Further announcements of board members are expected in the coming months.
The ideal chairman to help drive further growth
Nils Smedegaard Andersen brings extensive experience from the international transport and logistics industry, having served nine years as CEO of the Maersk Group. As part of his appointment as Chairman, Nils Smedegaard Andersen comments:

The new Chairman of the Board is known for his drive and is described as a result-oriented leader. Today he is chairman of Unilever and ASML, both leading global companies, and also serves on several non-listed boards.
Global CEO of SGL Allan Melgaard elaborates on the choice of Nils Smedegaard Andersen as Chairman of the Board:

In 2022, SGL generated $3.5 billion in revenue and aims to reach over $5 billion within the next few years.
