In light of recent events concerning the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, we wish to confirm that we are closely monitoring the situation. We remain in close contact with both official authorities and our supplier partners.

Dear Valued Customer,

In light of recent events concerning the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, we
wish to confirm that we are closely monitoring the situation. We remain in close
contact with both official authorities and our supplier partners.

As we speak, it is unknown what the specific nature of sanctions will be.
Therefore, it is also difficult to assess the potential impact on transport to and
from Russia and Ukraine.

What we do know presently is the following:

  • All flights into Kiev have been suspended
  • Ukraine has closed its airspace for all civilian flights, and this is also the case
for Moldova, while Belarus has closed parts of its airspace
  • Ocean carriers have been cautioned on the passage in the Black Sea and the
Bosphorus Strait. It remains unclear which specific alternative routes will be
    used
  • It remains unclear if an actual trade boycott will be enforced upon Russia,
and thus it is at this moment in time still possible to transport to and from
    Russia
  • We overall expect and foresee potential delays across all transport modes,
specifically for trade-lanes to and from Europe.

The situation remains fluid and is developing by the hour, and accordingly, our
information provided is subject to change. We encourage you to stay in close
contact with your designated contact person at SGL.

Thank you for your understanding. We will continue to keep you updated as the situation develops.
