A new “circular 42” has in September 2014 been introduced by China’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) and State Administration of Taxation (SAT), which made it possible for Scan Global Logistics to legally enjoy an exemption to the 6% Chinese VAT.
On May 24, 2013, Chinese authorities issued the Circular 37 (Cai Shui [2013] No. 37) which explains new VAT policies on freight related services to and from China.
