We are introducing our first dedicated block train from China to Europe

Prior to departure on March 28, 2020, from Zhuzhou, China, an official ceremony with government officials from the city of Zhuzhou, marked the first ever Scan Global Logistics “owned” block train. The final destination of the block train is Duisburg, Germany, from where we will distribute to our customers’ warehouse facilities across Europe.

“This marks yet another milestone in our effort to position rail freight as a product alongside regular airfreight and ocean freight – not least in times like these where our customers’ supply chains are under great pressure due to the outbreak of COVID-19 virus. Our rail freight service enables us to offer the needed capacity and a reliable solution at a reasonable cost, providing a robust alternative to both airfreight and ocean freight,” says Mads Drejer, Global COO, Scan Global Logistics.
