Starting on February 1, 2016 (date of BL) it becomes mandatory to report shipments containing wood as packaging material and shoring.

The change was planned during 2015 and solidifies the leadership of Scan Global Logistics. When Jesper Nielsen takes over as CEO, on February 1 2016, Henrik von Sydow, the outgoing CEO takes over the position as Chairman of the Board.

Effective 1st of January 2016 Scan Global Logistics has opened a franchise office in Cambodia, as the first Scandinavian freight forwarder in the country.

In order to align the Scan Global Logistics global offering, the road divisions; Mahé Euro and Interexpress Sweden are changing name to the common name SGL Road.

An extension of the A7 motorway started in Germany in 2014. The A7 is one of Germany’s busiest stretch of motorway and the part, which starts at the Danish border in South Jutland and goes all the way down to Elb Tunnel in Hamburg, is Denmark’s most important stretch when it comes to international trade.

In March 2011 Japan was hit by an earthquake and shortly after a tsunami which claimed many lives and injuries. HRH the Danish Crown Prince, Frederik VIII's Paire, visited the affected areas around the village of Higashi-Matsushima, in support of the people; his visit is still remembered with gratitude.
