Stepping into a more sustainable future with MAN Energy Solutions
Decarbonising the supply chain is a joint effort. As a result of our long-standing partnership with MAN Energy Solutions (MAN ES) in Denmark, we have initiated a project to test and develop sustainable logistics solutions. The full project scope involves 100% ocean biofuel and trucks running on renewable diesel, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), ensuring approx. 85% reduction on the last-mile delivery. The business case will inform future co-led carbon-reducing initiatives.

50-100% reductions in transport emissions are available today
The Sustainability Report 2022 is out. Our strategy remains focused on decarbonising our customers’ supply chain transport emissions through a catalogue of logistics solutions. Regardless of the mode of transport, the message is clear that significant emission reductions are available and readily deployable to all customers. Ocean biofuel and electric container trucking are some of the latest additions to the range of sustainable options.
SGL offers customers an airfreight emission reduction of up to 80% by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
The need to reduce airfreight emissions in the supply chain is growing faster than ever before. As part of its catalogue of CO2 reducing initiatives, SGL has extended its collaboration with Neste, the world's leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), to provide its customers with a low emission solution with the potential of reducing airfreight emissions by up to 80%*. The agreement supports SGL's target to halve its emissions by 2030 across all scopes.
