3 essential features you should consider about us before we team up

Firstly - how would you like to partner with someone who shares uncomfortable truths to keep momentum rather than cover it up in pleasantries or postpone the inevitable?
That’s us.

Secondly - our command lines are short because we value quick and accurate communication with you to allow for flexibility in the face of changes or circumstances.

Last but not least, the same applies to economic or environmental trends pointing to new markets for large-scale project transport – we call you before you call us.

In addition, and in close collaboration with our Industrial Project experts, we perform route and port surveys, stowage plans and varied chartering requirements as part of our planning and preparation, including customs brokerage, export declarations and permits and much more.

Does it make you at ease knowing this?

Then let us take the weight off your shoulders - we’ve got your heavy-lift project.

Scan Global Logistics and Hapag-Lloyd to scale existing decarbonisation partnership with an ocean biofuel investment

Scan Global Logistics (SGL) and Hapag-Lloyd are strengthening their partnership to further reduce emissions in ocean freight. By expanding their collaboration and leveraging Hapag-Lloyd’s Ship Green solution and integrating it into the existing product portfolio of emission-reducing solutions that SGL offers, which enables the global freight forwarder’s customers to take immediate and measurable action to decarbonise their global supply chains.

Hormuz Strait remains effectively closed, adding further pressure on global energy prices

Despite no shortage of political statements and media reports that an imminent opening of the Strait of Hormuz is close, the reality is that the strait remains effectively closed. The US launched Operation Freedom on 4 May to evacuate stranded commercial vessels in the Gulf; however, the initiative was shelved the following day, with the US announcing it would pause the operation at the request of the Pakistani government, citing progress in peace talks.

FincoEnergies and Scan Global Logistics partner on Biofuel Swap, enabling immediate, verifiable road transport CO₂e reductions

Rotterdam/Copenhagen, [April 13, 2026] – FincoEnergies and Scan Global Logistics (SGL) are strengthening their collaboration by implementing Biofuel Swap, a globally applicable solution for decarbonising road transport. With Biofuel Swap, SGL offers its customers immediate emissions reductions - with no changes to vehicles, infrastructure, or daily logistics operations – through utilising certified HVO100, a 100% biodegradable fuel, enabling verified, scalable CO₂e reductions.

Despite a temporary ceasefire, the Hormuz Straits remain de facto closed for transit

A two-week ceasefire announcement was announced on 8 April by the US, Israel and Iran, with the re-opening of the Hormuz Strait being a key component of the ceasefire agreement. The first 24 hours of the ceasefire have shown that the ceasefire itself is very fragile, and not least that there are conflicting views on key aspects of the agreement, not least in terms of whether a ceasefire in Lebanon was part of the scope or not.
