Are you ready for Incoterms 2020?

19 Dec, 2019

Currently and until the end of 2019 the Incoterms 2010 are still in effect. But remember as of January 1st, 2020 the new Incoterms 2020 will take over.

Some of the more important changes are that the previous DAT (Delivered At Terminal) term is now changing to DPU (Delivered At Place Unloaded) and that the FCA term (Free Carrier), often used with container shipments, now allows for the parties to agree whether the buyer should instruct the carrier to issue a bill of lading with an on-board notation to the seller.

If you feel uncertain about Incoterms or not sufficiently informed on the subject you may find training opportunities at the icc academy site. You may also find more details about incoterms in our article Get to know incoterms 2020 better.

Please notice that we in general do not offer advice on other subjects than transports.
