Change of Airlines fuel surcharge calculation method

Dear valued customer and business partner,

Kindly note that effective 1 September 2013, some air freight carriers will apply Fuel Surcharge (FSC) and Security Surcharge (ISS) to Chargeable Weight for all shipments ex-Europe. The FSC and ISS will no longer be applied on Actual Weight.

It seems to be the tendency going forward, and we trust more carriers will follow during the fall.

Obviously this will effect shipments with volume. If you doubt whether this will affect your type of cargo, please do not hesitate to contact your daily SGL contact or nearest SGL office.
